The Mission of the Morris Public Library is to serve the citizens in our community by providing easy access to resources that meet their informational and recreational needs.

Morris Public Library




Incorporated on October 1, 1900, the Morris Public Library has been part of Morris History for more than 100 years. 


The Library has seen a number of homes, including one of the green-facing rooms of the Community Hall; a room at the James Morris School; under the existing Fire House and since the early 1980’s in its present location in the old auditorium area of the Morris Community Hall.  


A long line of Directors has also graced its presence:  Mrs. Humphrey; Mrs. Slaiby; Joanne Austin; Lee Swift Cook; Helen Watsi; Lorraine Kerr-Faison, Zoe Greenwood. Current Library Director is Elena Granoth.

The Library Board meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm.
